Wakefield Diocese has a strong commitment to evangelism and outreach making Jesus known by word and action. In early 2005 Wakefield Diocesan Synod reaffirmed its commitment to evangelism, and unanimously passed the following resolution:

"This Synod invites each parish to identify one practical next step that it might need to take to further its mission and evangelism in the next twelve months."

A variety of people, courses and general resources and initiatives are available to help Christians and churches explore and develop their witness and evangelism.
