Support and training for pastoral ministry.

  • Are you involved in pastoral work already, in your church or in your employment?
  • Do you have gifts of caring and listening that you believe are for others?
  • Does the study of the ministry of Jesus appeal to you?

The BCPM is a three year course which offers training in theology and the practice of pastoral ministry, and which encourages the development of a person’s own spirituality.

After successful completion of the course a person is authorised as Pastoral Minister, working under the authority of the incumbent of a parish or under the authority of a chaplain in a prison, hospital, home or hospice.

Tutorials in small groups supplement the work done in the day/evening sessions. Although this is essentially a practical course there are some assignments and reflective written work.
